«Dear Colleagues,
I would like to take this opportunity to apprise you of a reorganization which will take place at Ex Libris headquarters. Beginning immediately, headquarters will be restructured as a series of Business units—Discovery and Delivery, Resource Management, Global Support, and Data Services Division —which are consistent with the Company’s product strategy, culture, and competencies and will support future growth. The goal of this change is to improve operational performance by shortening time to market of our products and services; increasing business-line accountability; and driving growth while retaining a strong focus on customer needs and satisfaction.
The Discovery and Delivery business unit, which will be lead by Nancy Dushkin, Corporate VP, Discovery and Delivery Solutions, will have overall business responsibility for Primo, SFX, MetaLib, and bX functions including development, product management, and product marketing. Existing cross-product marketing and marketing communications functions will continue to report directly to Nancy and provide these services to all departments in the organization.
The Resource Management business unit, which will be lead by Einat Zviran, Corporate VP, Resource Management Solutions, will have overall business responsibility for URM, Aleph, Voyager, DigiTool, Rosetta, and Verde including development, product management, and product marketing. The Architecture, DBA, and PMO functions will continue to report directly to Einat and provide their services to all departments in the organization.
The Global Support business unit, headed up by Anat Kuper, Corporate VP Global Support, will be responsible for the global support business, and in addition for the QA, and Product Delivery (including installation, packaging, and documentation) functions.
The Data Services division, for which the division head is currently being recruited, will eventually be responsible for data services, SaaS, hosting, and IT. In the interim period, these units will remain under their current reporting structures to Einat and Anat.
No changes are planned at the corporate-level finance, HR, and strategy units or to the regional entities in APAC, Europe, and North America.
Additional information relating to roles and responsibilities will be provided in departmental / divisional meetings where required. In any case, please do not hesitate to contact your direct manager for additional details.
As we look forward to 2010 we are faced with stimulating challenges and exciting opportunities. Please join me in wishing us all great success in our new organizational setup.
